HEIST

September 30, 2025 Events Coordination and Marketing BMEUSA

HEIST is an annual scavenger hunt bringing together Biomedical, Manufacturing and Engineering Physics students. Beginning at the Engineering Physics Penthouse, teams moved through a series of volunteer-led stations and challenges designed to build community across the three programs. Approximately 200 students participated throughout the event.

My Role

Working as part of an eight-person organizing team, I helped design and run the scavenger hunt from end to end. My responsibilities included coordinating volunteers for each station, sourcing and purchasing materials, preparing activities and troubleshooting logistics throughout the event. I also appeared in promotional reels supporting the campaign.

Planning & Collaboration

Unlike a single-venue social, HEIST depended on many volunteers completing specific tasks at the right place and time. Coordinating across Biomedical, Manufacturing and Engineering Physics required clear role definitions, detailed communication and fast day-of problem solving. The experience strengthened my ability to manage many interdependent people and materials while keeping a large event moving smoothly.

Campaign Results

The four-post HEIST campaign generated 27,096 views, 625 impressions and 38 profile actions. The event brought together approximately 200 students over the course of the scavenger hunt.
